In 2004, Daniel Firman created, in collaboration with fashion desiner Christian Lacroix, a sculpture that reproduces the designer's signature.  Firman has continued with such collaborations, with, for example, the creation of a piece made of a bronze and cristal chandelier by EPI, identical to those that decorate the very luxurious parisian hotel Le Crillon.  The projects are created with the idea that shapes and the memory that we have of them telescope each other over time, and that to find our marks in the great heap of objects, identifictaion is necessary.  The artist's intervention isn't limited to finding branded or signed objects, but to displace them so that a new reading will be similar to a memory or sensitive memorization.  For this Murano glass project, Daniel Firman wished to use a chandelier, while respecting its components and history, but also by assembling it completely differently to create a new artistic "chaos".  The work is like a haphazard assembly, an instantaneous imbrication of the paralell story of these objects.
