« Less is more &  Make it better ! »

Combining training in the fine arts with training in industrial design, Marc Johnson and Carles Déau alternately explore history, science, experiments and innovations. Architecture, Sculptures, Photography, Graphic Arts and Object Design are the team's typical areas of application, expressing their love for both discovery and exchanges.
The environment is at the heart of their creations. Notions of scale, of relationships to mankind and ways of interacting are constantly re-evaluated, reworked and adapted in their ethical design efforts and in their commitment to contribute to sustainable development.
Marc Johnson and Carles Déau met in 2005, in the Sèvres workshop in Paris. With degrees from the Paris School of Fine Arts and the Reims Graduate School of Art and Design, respectively, they work together on multiform artistic projects while simultaneously pursuing their own projects. In 2006, they designed and created their first joint project: the KSS KSS console, custom designed for a private collector. In 2008, Carles Déau was awarded the Colbert Prize for the creation of a unisex birth jewel made in collaboration with the Monnaie de Paris (the French Mint), while Marc Johnson embarked upon a research partnership with the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research).
