« Letting people see what an author sees and wants from this world, and photographing a portrait in a certain specific manner. »

After numerous collaborations with both French and foreign press, and varied works ordered by important institutions such as the Pompidou Centre and the Cartier Foundation, he now works for art magazines such as Connaissance des Arts, while simultaneously devoting himself to totally personal artistic works. During the 1990s, he created his first artist portraits drawn from the Video Art and Nouvelle Figuration movements. Nowadays, shaded with memories of photojournalism, his pictures are expressive, with head-on portrayals of daily life whose neutrality represents the photographer's commitment to obtaining the right shot. His pictures have notably been a part of private collections, such as those of the Rothschilds, the Société Générale bank, the Deutsche Bank, and public ones such as the FNAC (national contemporary art fund). He recently published DPRK, a book which gathers together his pictures of North Korea; the work was published by Editions Thames & Hudson. Discovered by Raymond Depardon, this work was presented at the Rencontres d'Arles event and later at the Photographer’s Gallery in London.
